In this workshop, I’ll show you how to create your own mixed media portraits with ease—no prior drawing experience necessary! I make drawing and creating faces fun! I’ll show you all my techniques and share with you my favorite materials. After this workshop, you’ll have the basic skills and extra confidence to take your mixed media portrait work to the next level (or just simply enjoy drawing and painting faces)!

In this course, I'll show you how to:

• create your own collage paper

• build up a collage background

• draw a basic face

• add color, shading, and texture

• create on multiple surfaces (art journal, wood panel, canvas)

• explore multiple techniques to create several mixed media faces

We'll be using a variety of my favorite supplies such as oil pastels, spray ink, acrylic paint, oil paint sticks, as well as using collage and found materials in our art-making!
